For Immediate Release:
July 13, 2006
Ice Theatre of New York recently joined The Chelsea Cultural Partnership - a coalition of cultural organizations and businesses located in Manhattan's Chelsea. Its mission is to increase the public's participation in, and enjoyment of, Chelsea's rich cultural and entertainment life.
Founded in 2003 by Dance Theater Workshop in association with The Joyce Theater and the Atlantic Theater Company, it brings the community's wealth of cultural institutions together to work cooperatively toward building awareness of all that Chelsea offers.
Ice Theatre of New York is now included in the roster of Chelsea's cultural centers, along with such esteemed organizations and institutions as: Cedar Lake, Hudson Guild, International Print Center NY, The Kitchen, Rubin Museum of Art, and TADA! Youth Theater. Inclusion in The CCP will bring increased attention to Ice Theatre of New York during Destination Chelsea Thursdays, and announcements of all upcoming Ice Theatre events on the Partnership's website. We are pleased to become a more visible part of our local cultural community, after years of residence at Chelsea Piers. We hope it attracts new audiences to Ice Theatre of New York, and to all the significant cultural programs happening in Chelsea today.
